Reflection Task 2

     Without doubt, football is the most popular game in our country; so it is not suprising that Turkey is a place where football terror is taking part. I think the most important reason of this is that the supporters of each team are too passionate. As a supporter, I also watched the events at matches last year closely. It gave me the oppurtinty to examine the events more detailedly.

      Turkish supporters of football teams are so passionate about their teams that they support them in any case. Specially in derbies, this passion levels increase. If their team lose aganist the other team, some supporters can become crazy. They throw whatever they find to field –specially water bottles- At some matches like between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe hooligan supporters crossed the frontier and took the lifes of other team’s supporters. However; some columnists think that the reason of this events is the lack of lawful guarantee. They think that kind of events take place because even when supporters go in to stadium, they aren’t checked properly. As a result, it becomes easier to carry harmful things with you.

     The federation has decided that in derbies the supporters of opponent teams cannot go in to stadium. They think that they can prevent some bad events with the help of this decision. I can’t say it hasn’t made any difference but we should make decisions that can help us in long periods.

Reflection Task 1

        

Hi everyone!

It’s Sinem. I’m 18 years old and I’m student in METU. I live in Ankara. I am blonde and I have brown eyes.

I was born in Yozgat. I went to primary and secondary school in my hometown where is called Yerköy. In 2009 I started Erdoğan Akdağ Teacher Traning High School and chose the department of foreign language. I have always loved English since I was in primary school. But it was when I was in high school that I realised I was really good at English.

I love animals a lot. When I was a child, I had so many pets. I had a cat whose eyes were blind. When I was in 3rd grade, I went school. By the time I came home, my cat had died. I was very upset. But my mother said she would buy another pet. They bought a turtle. When my turtle got sick, I wanted to take him to veterinarian. But by the time I got ready, he had already died. I think we can say I’m not that lucky about pets. I also love movies. But I haven’t gone to the cinema for a long time. However, I’m planning to go to cinema next month. Because there are a lot of movies I’ve been waiting for ages, and they’re coming out next month.

I used to play voleyball. I played for school team for 3 years in high school. I had also played in secondary school. But I’m not enjoying anymore. I have been thinking about taking a new hobby.

I love teaching something and there was a teacher in my old school. He has really inspired me about being teacher. I hope I will be a good teacher like him. By 2016, I’ll have graduated from METU. I’m planning to take the exam which is called KPSS and start teaching somewhere in Turkey.
